Should You Make The Switch From Tobacco To E Cigarettes Like Others Have
ConsumerAdvertisment
A lot of debate has flared up concerning the topic of e-cigarettes. Tobacco companies are against them, while several anti-smoking sects are in full support. The FDA for some reason doesn’t seem to think it’s safe, while several medical experts almost swear by the effectiveness of the product. With so many people taking sides, what are the facts and how do they pertain to your decision to either keep smoking or switch to e-cigarettes? If it has the proper backing, should you make the switch?
The answer to that question is yes. Tobacco cigarettes have long been a plague of sorts on society. They are poisonous both to the user and the people around them. People who have made the decision not to smoke are forced to breathe the opposite decision that other have made in support of the tobacco industry. E-cigarettes are devices that take a modern approach to helping people get their nicotine. Without all the harmful additives of normal cigarettes, an e-liquid is heated up inside the cartridge of an e-cigarette. This creates a vapor, which upon inhalation delivers nicotine to the body, minus the tar and other harmful chemicals. The vapor is exhaled and then seems to disappear in a matter of seconds. This vapor is basically odorless and doesn’t irritate the eyes and respiratory system of those nearby.
It makes perfect sense that tobacco companies would want to steer people away from electronic cigarettes because they pose a financial threat to the tobacco industry itself. The simple fact is this: as technology advances and new discoveries are made, more and more efficient practices are put into effect and are in turn used to make more efficient products. The e-cigarette is a product of such thinking. It was created with a goal of simulating a tobacco cigarette as much as possible without all the harmful chemicals. This is the closest experience there is on the market today to actual tobacco cigarettes without actually smoking.
The FDA isn’t fully convinced that e-cigarettes are safe. While any lab that’s run tests on e-cigarettes can show the absence of some 4000 chemicals found their tobacco counterpart, the fact remains that e-cigarettes contain nicotine, which is listed medically as a poison. It does make sense that the FDA would want to regulate such a dangerous product, but then again people are allowed to buy cigarettes which not only deliver nicotine to the body but dump ash in the lungs as well.
In all truth, if you were to consume pure nicotine directly, you would most likely be killed, hence why it is listed as a poison. This doesn’t change the fact that every year tobacco cigarettes lead to the deaths of thousands of people because they wanted the nicotine but at the same time dumped unnecessary chemicals into their body.
E-cigarettes are simply a evolutionary step of sorts in the right direction of people getting nicotine. Any company that comes strongly against this statement is likely selling something else.
